Material Supply Overview

We supply materials as well as installing them. For contractors, architects and building owners who have their own installation capability, that means access to the same product range and pricing we use on our own projects.

The range spans over twenty brand lines — European aluminium systems, American window manufacturers, commercial storefront and curtain wall, architectural glass, hardware and sealants. See the full product range for what that covers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you supply materials without installation?

Yes. We supply to general contractors, architects and building owners who have their own installation capability, across the same product range and brand lines we use on our own projects.

Which brands can you supply?

Over 20 brand lines covering European aluminium systems, American window manufacturers including Andersen, Marvin, Pella and Alside, commercial storefront and curtain wall, architectural glass from Vitro, Guardian and AGC, plus hardware and sealants.

What areas do you deliver to?

All five New York City boroughs, Northern New Jersey, the Jersey Shore, the Philadelphia region and the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania.

Can you help specify the right product before I order?

Yes. Tell us the openings, the performance requirement and the budget, and we will identify what fits. We would rather spend time on specification than supply the wrong product.

Supply Without Installation

A large share of our business is supplying material to contractors, builders, glaziers and homeowners who are doing the installation themselves. That is a different service from a fitted job and it has its own requirements.

What We Supply

Glass. Cut to size, edged, drilled and processed. Tempered, laminated, insulating units, low-e and solar control coatings, acoustic laminates, tinted and low-iron substrates, fire-rated, frosted, acid-etched, mirrored and printed. Architectural products come in through Oldcastle and we work with Vitro coated glass — see architectural glass.

Windows and doors. European and American systems, fabricated to your sizes.

Hardware. For current systems and for windows no longer manufactured. A photograph and the screw hole spacing is usually enough to identify a part — see window hardware.

Sealants and waterproofing materials. Henry, Soprema, Dow Corning and Seimeda.

What We Need From You

Glass is made to final size and cannot be cut, drilled or adjusted once tempered. So the dimensions we are given are the dimensions that get made, and a panel a quarter of an inch oversize is scrap rather than a trim job.

For anything tempered or laminated we need the finished size, the thickness, the edge finish, and every hole, notch and cut-out with positions. For insulating units we need the overall thickness, the cavity, the coating and which surface it goes on. For hardware, a photograph and the screw spacing.

If you are unsure, send photographs and rough dimensions and we will tell you what else we need before anything is ordered. That conversation costs nothing; a wrong panel costs the whole panel.

Lead Times, Honestly

Stock glass moves quickly. Custom fabrication is typically one to two weeks. Architectural coated glass ordered against a specification runs longer, and heat soaking adds a cycle on top of tempering. Custom clad-wood windows for historic work are several weeks.

We give you a build time when we quote. If a programme is tight we will tell you whether it is achievable rather than agreeing to a date and explaining afterwards.

Delivery and Collection

Material moves through our own shop on Staten Island, working alongside a partner company in Brooklyn, with architectural glass brought in from Oldcastle. There are two ways to take delivery.

Direct delivery to site, on orders over $2,500 in value. This is the option that suits a working job: material arrives where it is needed rather than being handled twice. The delivery area and the lead time are confirmed when we quote, because both depend on where the building is and what is being sent.

Collection from Staten Island, by appointment. Available on any order regardless of value. The appointment is deliberate — it means the material is pulled, checked and ready when you arrive, and somebody is free to go through it with you rather than serving a counter.

Below the $2,500 threshold we can still arrange delivery; it is quoted rather than included. Tell us what you need and where it is going and we will price both ways so you can choose.

Call 929-235-1233 to arrange either.
